YEDU.Coffee
Privacy policy
What happens to your data on yedu.coffee, in plain words. Short version: we only collect what we need, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
Who is responsible
ZimKaffee Switzerland GmbH, Imbisbühlstrasse 93, 8049 Zürich, Switzerland. UID CHE-188.748.109.
Questions about your data: info@yedu.coffee.
This policy is written for the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/revDSG) and, where it applies to visitors from the EU, the GDPR.
What this policy covers
This website, yedu.coffee. Our online shop (shop.yedu.coffee) and our other sites (horeca, coop, cupping, hub, partners) process their own data and each has its own privacy policy. When you order in the shop, the shop's policy applies.
When you visit the site
Our hosting provider's server automatically records technical data with each page request: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. These logs are not combined with other data and are deleted after a short period.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no social-media plugins. Links to Instagram, Google Maps and our shop are plain links: nothing is sent to those services until you click one.
Cookies
yedu_lang remembers whether you chose English or German. It contains only "en" or "de" and expires after one year.
If you use the signup form, a technically necessary session cookie protects the form against spam. It is deleted when you close your browser.
We set no other cookies.
Fonts from Google
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC). To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. Google may process this data in the USA. We use Google Fonts so the site looks the same on every device.
The email list
If you sign up, we store your email address, your first name if you give it, your language, where on the site you signed up, when you signed up and when you confirmed.
We use this only to send you news from YEDU.Coffee: new coffees, events and offers. Legal basis is your consent. You confirm by clicking the link in the first email we send (double opt-in); until you do, you get nothing else.
The list is stored on our own web server. When someone confirms, we receive a notification at our own mailbox. We do not pass your data to anyone else.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also write to info@yedu.coffee. After you unsubscribe we keep only the record that you did, so we never email you again by mistake.
When you email us
We use what you send only to answer you, and delete it once it is no longer needed, unless we have to keep it by law (e.g. business records).
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent at any time, object to its use, and receive it in a common format. Just write to info@yedu.coffee.
You can also complain to a data-protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB, edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU the authority in your country.
Changes
If what we do with data changes, we update this page. The date below shows the current version.
